The movement was
triggered by Tanushree Dutta after she levied allegations of sexual harassment
against Nana Patekar on the sets of 2008 film, Horn OK Pleassss. Post that
a number of Bollywood and TV stars have extended support to her. We exclusively
brought to you what Shama Sikander had to say about the controversy.
“I feel sorry for
whatever happened in her (Tanushree) life. Such traumas affect you from within
which can turn into depression. I have met her once and twice in my life. She
is a very sweet girl. I just hope and pray that she finds the courage to
fight".
"I wasn't available at the spot so can't say what exactly happened in that moment, but I will definitely say that many such incidents happen with actresses in this glamour world. Humaari industry mein hi kya, kya ladkiyon ke saath ye sab humaare desh mein nahi hota? Duniya mein nahi hota? I mean it happens all the time and every time they are asked to keep their mouth shut. In fact, I would say ye auratein hi hain jinki wajah se auratein chup rehti hain. The day women support each other, the scenario will change,” she added. Kavita Kaushik and Divyanka Tripathi too has spoken in her favour.
